Murven R. Sears II
With broken hearts and overwhelming sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Murven on March 30, 2021.
Murv was born December 30, 1935 in Seattle, Washington and raised in Stockton, California. He graduated from the University of Pacific in Stockton and earned a Master’s at California State University, Sacramento, in economics. He worked in aerospace for 40 years, helping to develop engines and technology that got us into space. He loved reading and crossword puzzles, and every adventure and new idea offered, and lived a life based on a code of chivalry and honor that kept everyone around him safe. As our daughter wrote of him, “We were blessed to have him as our guiding light, fearless knight, gentle sage, and outrageous patriarch.”
He was a force of joy. He will be sorely missed.
